Clinique more than minerals make up and mineral make up in general?

who uses which one? have you used clinique? what do you think? i have read on the internet that you need to avoid talc and bismuth oxychloride, but it seems that they all seem to have either one or both. Does anyone with rosacea have any issues with mineral make up? There is a site which shows some random websites doing mineral make up excluding the two above mentioned items, are they worth trying?|||I use Mineral Powder by Mary Kay. It's a lot cheaper than Bare Minerals but works just as well. I love it!|||I love colorescience makeup, it's mineral makeup sold in plastic surgery or dermatology offices, you may be able to find it online. It has great coverage and does not irritate skin at all!!|||I too love Bare Minerals. It has worked wonders for the condition of my skin. I hardly ever break out anymore (besides the occasional errant pimple, no breakouts!) Combined with their Rare Minerals Skin Revival Treatment and Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy, my skin is better than it has been in years.|||I have used Bare Minerals for almost 2 years now. I LOVE it!!

I love how natural it is, but still gives me plenty of coverage. Liquid foundation always feels heavy, is hard to match color-wise, and can give you those bad lines.

It's perfect for me also because you can sleep in it and so many times I just am too tired or lazy to clean my face at night. It has also trained me to use moisturizer every day. Because you need to put lotion on your face before you apply your makeup I don't have a choice and now it is a great habit.

The best part though is how great my skin looks!! It has been really good for my skin. It makes my skin really healthy. Recently I went and got a facial. The woman who did the facial commented on what beautiful skin I had. Later on she asked what kind of make-up I use and I told her. She then said, "no wonder your skin is so beautiful, that stuff is great for you!"

I will never go back to liquid foundation again.

Does anyone know the exact name for the color of Clinique Superfit Foundation that was a sample in Cosmo Mag?

Does anyone know the exact name for the color of Clinique Superfit Foundation that was a sample in Cosmo Magazine?

I have been to their website but I am not sure which color it matches!

Can anyone help? Thanks!|||I work for Clinique. I'm pretty sure it was Porceline Beige #8. You would be better off going to the counter and get matched.

If I use the clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion w/even betterskin tone correcting moisturizer?

yesterday I bought two different clinique lotion and moisturizer.

One is the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion and the other one is the Clinique even better skin tone correcting moisturizer SPF 20. And I want to ask if I can use these two products together?|||I actually do that exact same routine!

It works super great and both products are outstanding!

Yes, it is totally okay for you to use them together :)

hope i helped!

Did the clinique acne soultions work for your face?

I recently purchased this and have been using it for 2 days. There is no positive or negative effect so far. Is this how it worked for you?|||You will have to give it a week or two. It worked better for me than Proactiv. Did you get a facial and they told you to use it, or did you just buy that one product? You may want to go get the facial and let them tell you what all you need.|||yes, and i love it!|||I have never used it, but you got to give it a bit more time. Usually two to three weeks using it twice a day. Be patient and you will be spot free|||Maybe you have acne on a different part of your body?|||I tried it and liked the product. I saw results in about 3 weeks or a little more. I didn't like the moisturizer though, it didn't help w/ dry skin.

Is Clinique good for skincare products, or what's better?

I'm thinking of buying the 3 step Clinique skincare things (cleanser toner moisturiser) and just wanted to know if it's good? I have combination skin with a fairly uneven skin tone so I want to fix this. Should I get Clinique or is there something better? Thanks.|||I have combination skin and I cannot say enough good things about Clinique products - I've been using them since I was about 14 (I'm 25 now) and I really think they're the best thing out there.

The coolest thing is that, when you go to the Clinique counter, they will customize the products based on your skin type. They have different "strengths" of soap, toner, and moisturizer to balance different levels of oiliness and dryness in your skin. They'll ask you a few questions about your skin and put together a skincare set.

I prefer the liquid cleanser to the bar, because I think it rinses cleaner. I use the moisturizing gel in the summer when my skin is oilier and the lotion in the winter when it's drier.

Clinique also has great acne treatments, which I used when I had awful teenage skin.

You can actually take the little quiz about your skin type on their website, to see what kind of products they recommend:

http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

My only caveat about Clinique is that they can be expensive, but for me it's worth it. I get the best results for my skin with their products.|||My personal opinion on clinique.. I don't like it. In school we did a ph test on different products. The clinique moisturizer (the yellow one) came up acidic. How can it moisturize if its acidic? I don't like it. If your looking for a professional brand try dermalogica, for a cheaper brand go with anything neutrogena, its very good.

www.dermalogica.com

www.neutrogena.com|||Im not really sure whats better, but I definitely wouldn't suggest using clinique. I've used it before and it didn't really do anything, dont waste your money on it. It also irritated my skin sometimes.|||I think that Clinque is good. I have been using it on and off for a long time, and just recently for about 4 years straight.

There are four different regimines, Very Dry to Dry (I), Dry Combination(II), Oily (III), and Oily Combination (IV). The 3-Step has the face soap, clarifying lotion (which is like a toner, but it is actually an exfoliant), and the Dramatically Different Lotion or Gel.

You would proabably be a III or a II. A lot of combination skin is fine with the Skin Type III 3-step in the summer, but will need to switch to Skin Type III 3-step in the winter, as the cold air and dry heat may dry the skin.

I think the best Clinique products are the 7-Day Scrub and the Total Turnaround Concentrate. The scrub is an exfoliator and polisher, which helps to remove dead surface skin cells, so that treatments and moisturizers will be effective. It also helps the skin to look polished and pores more refined. The Concentrate is a time released exfoliator, which smooths the skin, makes it brighter and more even toned. It is very very beneficial for a more even toned skin surface. I use this every night, and it is excellent.

They make an excellent SPF moisturizer called Super Defense (sunscreen is the best thing you can do for your skin) and a night moisturizer, Night Rescue, I believe, which has antioxidants (which is another good thing you can put on your skin, as they protect against free radicals).

As I have been swaying from Clinique, as far as incorporating other products into my regimine, I found that a retinol cream applied at night will aid with skin tone and clarity, as well as pores and fine lines. Retinol is a very good product to incorporate, and I heard philosophy makes a very good one called Help Me.

The hype right now is more natural products that do not contain harsh chemicals. I believe Clinique has alcohol in the clarifying lotion, as well as something in their soaps for the Oily and Oily Combination skin types.

I have been adding Jojoba oil to my cleanser and it has been doing wonders for my skin. Check out the oil cleansing method- yes, cleansing with oil, but don't freak out! Oil cleansers are all the rave right now, apparently.

But remember that whatever is good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander. What works for some may not work for you, what is preferred by some may not be preferred by you. The only thing you can do is try it, and see if your skin has a good reaction to it, and if it benefits from it.

Clinique is great about returning. So, let them give you the skin type test and try them out.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Did the clinique acne skin care treatment work for you?

I've heard great things about this, but it's very expensive. I have under the skin acne and it's pretty noticable in certain lights.

If you have tried this product, I'd appreciate your reviews. Thx.|||Ya I loved it. I don't really like thier makeup though|||Try using revitol acnezine as it doesnt have any side effects and it cures acne easily. you can get it here http://www.revitolacnezinereviews.com|||My daughter used it but didn't get the results she wanted for the money... We tried Clear. Now from Artistry... She loves it and swears she would never change.. We get it at http://mrtester.ltdteam.com password beauty

Is the Clinique 3 step cleansing system okay to use while you are pregnant?

I was just wondering if there are any ingredients in it that would make it unsafe to use during pregnancy. Can you recommend any other skincare systems that I can use? My skin has broken out really bad this pregnancy.|||Hi! I'm currently 38.5 weeks pregnant. I had the same problem, my skin was horrible. I asked my OB about Clinique and she okay'd it. Just make sure the cleanser you're using doesn't contain more than 2% salylic acid. (It will say so on the container) My acne got so bad that I switch to the acne foam version (comes in a pump) and used the toner III followed by the oil free lotion. Worked great!!! Hope this helps!|||I don't have an answer for you but was wondering the same thing.|||I use it all the time. One of my good friends is a Clinique rep and she used it all during her pregnancy and my dr said it was fine for me to use.

Its the only thing that keeps my skin clear from those pregnancy outbreaks|||According to my midwife, you should avoid anything that is peroxide or salcylic acid based. I used the Neutogena face bar. IT didn't clear my face completely up, but it did keep break outs at bay.

Good luck and congrats

Does Clinique Acne solution system work?

I've tried Proactiv and it worked for the first month. Then it started drying out my skin and I broke out again. So now I wan't to see if Clinique will work and keep working.

I also have some acne scars so will Clinique help lighten them?|||clinique acne solution is very strong, i'd say get the small set then use clinique 3step...they keep my skin clear.|||try it.... but none of that crap works for me, no one likes proactiv hardly, i got some cottage cheese type topical cream from the dr. and i barely have a pimple, it was the ONLY thing that works, ... go to a dermo|||doesn't work for me but i have very sensitive skin.|||Okay, try the Van-ashing cream called"Equate" You can only get it at Wal-Mart and it's less than 3 Dollars. B4 a period, my skin attends to start breaking out so I wash my face and leave my face a bit damp and put a thin layer where the breakout is and sleep with it on. the next day, I see results. Just don't use it too much or it will dry out your skin. I haven't had any other irritations from it though...good luck!

Should I get Make Up For Ever HD or Clinique Superfit foundation?

I don't know if I should get Make Up For Ever HD foundation ($40 - eek!) or Clinique Superfit foundation ($21). I've read a lot of reviews on both of them - a lot of good ones and bad ones. I don't know which to get. A little help here?|||This is from my experience.

I have the clinique superfit foundation. I think it works really well. It gives me the coverage I need. It stays on all day, and when you wear it , it doesn't go cakey.

I also have the clinique Perfectly Real Makeup. I find that this works better for ME. It is only i think 5 dollars more. But for some reason compared the the superfit, I prefer the perfectly real makeup one.

And this is only my opinion, but for me the perfectly real makeup works better on my skin, and is easier to apply. I also use a foundation brush with this.

Is the Clinique Eye Contour brush for concealer or eye shadow?

I bought a new Clinique Eye Contour brush and I'm not sure if it is for concealer or eye shadow, please help!|||it can be used for both, but purchase another one if you use it for concealer so you have a concealer on and an eye one.|||you can use it for both|||It is made for both but is best for eyes.

Where can I buy Clinique products in the Philippines?

I need a product called Clinique Supermascara, and I was wondering in what department stores I can buy Clinique products. Or even pharmacy-type stores like Watsons and pcx|||Clinique branches are all over SM stores, Beauty bar in Glorietta, Landmark specially the beauty section of it. I love Clinique prodcuts, good for oily, pimple prone skin like me....|||If you are not opposed to buying products on-line check out Sephora.com.

They carry Clinique products.

OR you can buy directly from www.clinique.com.|||rustans.

Is it normal for me to have breakout after using clinique 3 step?

iam using clinique 3 step for 2 week.i currently using facial liqud soap in mild, clarifying moisture lotion 2 and ddmg.before using this,i have really great skin.but after using clinique 3 step,my face started to breakout and i suffering from whitehead and huge pimple.is it will just happen for 3-4 week and gone?do i need to give sometime for it to work?|||When I first started using it I did break out alittle bit, but then everything went away. So I would just wait another week or two. Also, I'm assuming you have dry skin (type2?) and you are using the dramatically different moisturizing GEL. You shouldn't be using the gel, it's for oily skin so that could also be breaking you out. So I would recommend getting the lotion.

Hope I helped!!|||i had a 3 step break me out. it was to harsh. i switched to clean and clear and started to realize my skin just diddnt need all the steps. leave one out or switch your maker :)|||I heard a lot of people say it broke them out cause all 3 together were too harsh.

What is a good alternative for Clinique Acne Lotion, but not as expensive?

I love the Clinique Acne lotion but it's very expensive does anyone know of something comparable??|||Im 23 and was having very bad breakouts so I started using St.Ives and Biore products. I was told to switch between them every three months so that your acne does not grow accustomed to it. Its been six months and not a single pimple.

St.Ives products are very cheap at Wal.Mart, a tube costing about $3 dollars and Biore about $4 to $6 dollars.

Hope this helps.|||ProActive. I heard it does good.

Where can I get travel sized clinique products to try them out?

I don't have a clinique counter near where I live. I want to get travel sized products so I can see if they react badly with my skin or not before I commit to a full size product|||why dont you check out ebay....or amazon.|||Firstly, I'd suggest you take the online quiz on the Clinique site to find which products will be best for you: http://www.clinique.co.uk/cms/product/su鈥?/a>

Then I'd do a search on the product on ebay and try using the words "trial" or "travel" and sort by "lowest price including p+p" or sometimes it may work out cheaper to use the "buy it now" option as it does look like these are popular and have bidding frenzies on them.

Or perhaps you could contact them and see if they'll send you some trial sizes to try...no harm in asking, I reckon http://www.clinique.co.uk/customer_servi鈥?/a>

Will I be wasting my money on this Clinique beauty product?

I want to try the new Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector and the Clinique Even Better Moisturizer. If I buy them both, it would cost me around $100. I have read all good reviews for the two products. I have past acne marks and have read great reviews from people with the same problem when they tried the product. I'm willing to try anything to help it, but I just want to know if anyone knows how good this product is.|||clinique's moisturizer is amazing!! i would suggest the "dramatically different" moisturizer instead though. if you have oily skin, get the gel, if you have dry or normal skin, get the lotion. honestly i have tried everything from drugstore, to la mer, to philosophy "hope in a jar" (which is wayyyyy overrated btw) and clinique is the best i have used so far. as for the dark spot corrector, i've never tried it, but my sister has and she *loves it* she used to have pretty moderate acne in the center of her forehead that left some bad hyperpigmentation, but this and house of deming intense gels almost completely diminished them. good luck! btw, try buying them from sephora because they have a pretty decent return policy.|||Products are always going to be hit and miss with people because everyone has different skin..

But of course if a product has a record of a good reputation, then I think you should try it out?

Maybe the Clinique counter offers sample sizes of them that you could try out? Or at least smaller containers you can buy.

It's always worth it to invest in your skin|||I'd say try a sampler

Can you still get Boots points when you buy from Clinique counters in Boots stores?

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if you can still get Boots Advantage points if you buy tihngs from the in-store Boots beauty counters (e.g. Estee Lauder counters, or Clinique counters, etc?)

Or can you only earn points on normal non-expensive stuff?

|||If you have to use your Boots card during the transaction then yes you will get points =)

|||simple answer - yes. Only thing I think you can't get points is at the chemist %26amp; on stamps. Maybe not on top up but not sure.|||it depends on the store. |||yeah u can still get the points

What are your Favourite Clinique Products?

yeah so wats are some of your fav clinique products and should i buy a mac concealer or a clinique concealer?Which clinique concealer is better for undereye circles and pimples?|||GO WITH CLINIQUE! Their stuff is AMAZING, first of all, its fragrance free - a lot of women are allergic to the scents of makeup. Second of all, its ALLERGY free - even better! My favourite thing has to be the Dramatically Different Moistrizing Gel. I loooove it!

Anyway, if you want to get a good concealer, I would try the All About Eyes Concealer- Its for undereyes!

Good luck!

How long does the clinique acne 3 step take to work?

i have been using the clinique acne 3 step for 6 days now. and i love it so far. it hasent dried out my skin and my skin used to be so red in my cheeks and now its not red at all!! and my acne is clearing up. it made me break out a little on my chin but im sure it will go away. i also use the clinique makeup too. but i want to know how long it took for your acne to go away when using the clinique acne 3 step....???|||i have been using the clinuque 3 step as well for about 9 days and i like it to. and it broke me out a little on my fore head. i really want it to clear up. my mom said that some acne products take a while to work because its getting all the crap out from under your skin and bringing it to the top. i hope this helped. if you find put any more info tell me (: (:|||Im 26 never had acne, just stubborn zits i got oncew in a while, lately i started getton more than usual, lasted soo long, i spend 500$ at clinique, first i started with the 3 step and got eye cream, night cream EVERYTHING! and that made me break out more~! so then iwent back in and got the 3 step

Should I continue using clinique acne solutions?

I've been using clinique acne solutions 3-step system for about 2 weeks, and so far nothing has changed! My skin hasn't gotten worse, and it doesn't seem any better either. For those that this has worked for, how long did it take for the system to work? Anyone that saw absolutely no results? Thanks!|||I would expect you to have SOME improvement after two weeks. Personally, I'm not a fan of Clinique's acne system. Some of the ingredients can be very irritating. And since I can't see you face-to-face, it's hard to see what's going on with your skin.

Not to change the subject, I am a big fan of Paula's Choice acne products. You can only purchase them online. (www.paulaschoice.com) This woman has been an advocate for years for women being taken advantage of by the cosmetics companies. She has acne herself and developed a simple line of skin care products that includes an acne line.

One of the issues with the Clinique products is the pH. Even though it can contains a BHA, the pH is off and that won't allow for the appropriate exfoliation. Plus putting salicylic acid in a wash - where it is rinsed off - is useless. (And peppermint? For what?)

The point is that these products are not well formulated. I'd take them back and try something else.|||I recommend giving any system about 4-6 weeks of disciplined, twice a day use, to show results. Clinique does guarantee their product, so if you have used it for that long, and you still don't see results, you can return it. Just make sure you haven't used half of it, or they cannot take it back. However, the system is supposed to be a 3 month supply, so you should be ok to give it some more time. Depending on the severity of a skin condition, it can take varying amounts of time to remedy it, so be patient and persistent! Good Luck!|||I use Clean %26amp; Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. http://www.cleanandclear.com/product/continous-control/acne-cleanser

This stuff works really good. After I tried out this one, I stuck with it for all these 4 years and I have never switched to any other kind of product. So try it first and see how it works out. You could purchase this item at the Wal*Mart near you. (prices may vary)|||I would recommend Acneace!!!!

I used it, and after 1 months, my acne was COMPLETELY gone!

Hope it works for you.

you can get From Google Search Acneace Official site. Good luck.|||--- OMG. I feel exactly the same way as you. Thats just what happened to me and im getting quite worried. I actually think i will me retuning it very soon :/ 鉁扳槄

Should i buy the Clinique make up or the Bare minerals make up?

Im not sure which is best...im thinking clinique? H3LP! Its really hard but answer please and tell me why you feel the way you do.|||I am currently using BE and used to wear Clinique. I have sensitive skin and even Clinique would make my skin feel itchy and just not right. My skin doesn't feel all weirded out with the mineral make up. My only complaint is that sometimes I want more coverage. The salesperson recommended still wearing tinted moisturizer for more coverage. The coverage is better but the moisturizer upsets my skin.

If you get a chance, go to your local Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, or other retailer where you can sample the makeup and have it on all day. I'm learning that you need to try makeup as much as clothes.

Good luck!|||I've used both Clinique and Bare Minerals. Both are okay, (I did find Bare Minerals to be too messy). I found something BETTER! I use Philosophy's Mineral makeup and I LOVE IT!!!

It provides beautiful coverage like Clinique and the Luminous glow of Bare Minerals without the mess!!!|||Over priced. Go with Mary Kay. They are just as good, if not, they are better. Definately Mary Kay.|||My babydoll uses Bare Minerals, and I must admitt, it gives her a very nice glow.... I strongly suggest it.|||I've used both Clinique %26amp; BE. I prefer BE. It's a bit messy but I love mineral makeup. I like Jane Iredale pressed minerals because it doesn't make the mess BE makes. But minerals are the way to go. 2D|||Clinique make is good the bare minerals is too messey for me. I have th powder make up by clinique I don't use the pad it comes with I use a brush to apply it. My bare minerals has been in my draw since I bought it I use it a couple of times but it's not that great. It is too much work and messey|||Clinque is all I use now. and their new waterproof mascara is EXCELLENT!!|||I love kms mineral essentials. I get great coverage and my skin looks amazing.

Does anyone know the Avon eye cream that is supposed to be as good as Clinique's All About Eyes?

I remember seeing an Avon mag when this product first came out, and they claimed that it was equal to Clinique's All About Eyes. I'm curious and want to check it out but don't know what the Avon product is called... any ideas?|||Yes, we have a few compairable eye products.

What mascara is similar to clinique lash power with the small brush is not waterproof but water resistant?

i love the a tiny brush. It doesn't have to be water resistant but I'd really like just one with a small mascara brush like clinique lash power that I can get at walmart, kohls, or any drugstore. I cant get expensive things like clinique.|||I know what you mean expensive makeup can start putting a whole in the wallet. Try telescopic loreal. They come waterproof and not. I liked it because it washes of with water and soap at the end of the day.

Has the Clinique facial soap made your face oily?

I usually use Clean and Clear blackhead cleanser at night and every morning I use the Clinique soap to wash my face. After a couple of hours my skin gets really oily and I hate it when it's oily. Does anyone else use it and has it left your face oily, too?|||I used to use the Clinique soap and it always made my face oily and i would get more breakouts :( Now i wash my face with a simple ivory soap bar and then use the clean and clear cream on my face. It works great!! i would reccomend you try this.|||Not at all! It works wonders for me instead, it leaves my skin not dry, but eliminates oil for sure. Maybe try not to mix brands, I used to do that and since I moved completely to Clinique my skin is much better.|||I wash my face with St Ives because of that problem. Clinques products all do that too my skin. More oil = more breakouts too so i would stop using it and try St Ives. I dont use soap bar because they all make my skin too dry, even in the shower I have to use Aveeno body stuff.

When using clinique, does your acne get worse before getting better?

I am thinking about switching to the Clinique acne kit. But someone said it makes your skin/acne worse before it gets better. Is this true?|||Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around.

I don't use acne products. I take a shower, using a wash cloth %26amp; bath %26amp; body wash.

The beauty industry is a billion dollar business, they know acne is everyone's problem, but instead of saying soap is drying for you, they have to invent an acne product that can worsen the skin as MANY TEENAGERS have experienced during hormonal change, but as you get older those are completely a waste of time %26amp; money!|||Any good acne product will make it worse before it gets better. if it doesn't, then its not a very good product. This is especially true with products with retinol. The retinol sheds skin cells and purges your pores (getting everything out of clogged pores) so you are going to see more acne at first. If I remember correctly, Clinique uses Benzoyl Peroxide and that will also purge your pores, so yes it will be worse before it gets better. And remember it takes about 6-8 weeks for you to see improvement, so stick with your regimen! Also get a sulfur based spot treatment. I want to add that make sure you're using the right products for your acne. If you h

Get deep painful cysts(pimples) them you are using the right product. Retinol is also great for that type. If it's not then you need to be using salicylic acid.|||Yes, it usually does because it's trying to rid ALL your acne.

Where can I get free samples of Clinique products?

I want to try Clinique 3 step skin care system, and I have heard great things about this, but I am still skeptical due to its price. I want to try to get free samples for it, So please where can I get some?

Also, If you have used the 3 step, feel free to share your story please:)

What's the best alternative to Clinique's three step?

I'm pinched for money at the moment and about to run out of my Clinique three step products, so I can't afford to spend 60 dollars on it right now. Any Suggestions?|||I'm assuming you mean for acne.

I use Neutrogena Daily Scrub [the orange one for acne] %26amp; the Neutrogena Stress Control 3-in-1 Creme [I don't know the EXACT name, but hopefully you can figure it out. Its the greenish one]. This is probably $10-12 total.

You can also use an astrigent or toner. For astrigent, I've used Sea Breeze and it worked really well. I don't remember how much it costed, but it wasn't too expensive (I'm really cheap, but if it works well why pay more?).

This works the best for me%26amp; hopefully this helps you!

If you're not talking about acne, sorry!

Is Clinique foundation work for dry skin?

So I use benefit playstick foundation at the moment however I want to change it as it drys out my skin, does clinique foundation dry out skin and when applied does it look as if you've applied foundation?|||1. Every night, after you wash your face, smear organic coconut oil on your skin!

2. Drink at least 2 liters of water every day

3. Mineral Wear (CVS sells it) is a good foundation that isn't that bad for your skin as other foundations!|||Clinique has a great line of products that do benefit the skin.. you also may want to use a good moisturizer for your skin before applying the foundation. Wait a few minutes after putting on moisturizer so that it is absorbed into your skin and when you put do put on foundation it settlings on your skin better. Also use a daily exfoliating facial wash to smooth out your skin as well.

Play around with foundations to find which works for you.. what works for someone else may not work for another person.

Clinique is a great product try it out and see what it does for you .. make sure your face is clean and moisturized before applying foundation.|||Okay firstly no clinique wont dry out your skin :) If you have dry skin ( like me ) I would recommend Clinique Super moisture Foundation- It is really good ! It doesnt dry up around your dry patches :) If you match it correctly to your skin tone then no it wont look like your wearing foundation it just makes your skin look naturally lovely :)|||Super Moisture is absolutely divine for dry skin. and a little goes a long long way!

What affordable cosmetics are comparable to Clinique?

I once saw that most of the expensive cosmetics have drug store counterparts. Is that true? And if so---what is comparable to the Clinique stuff?

I use their 3 step skin care stuff. What is comparable to that?

Thanks!|||In reference to a previous answer, Mary Kay actually isn't sold in drug stores, that I know of and is in the same price range.....And the only comparison that would make sense from department store to drugstore would be Lancome to L'Oreal because L'Oreal owns and distributes Lancome...

Clinique's 3-Step system is very unique and as far as I know there is nothing out there like it. It was actually developed by a Dermatologist, Dr. Orentriech, and it was originally sold only in his doctor's office before he agreed Clinique could sell it! Many brands call their skin care "3-step", but really, there is nothing like Clinique. The things is, yes, it's on average about $7.50 more per product, whether it be 3-Step, or make-up, but part of the reason why it's more expensive, is because their products are so much more concentrated, so they're going to last longer if you use them correctly. I buy the bar soap, large clarifying lotion and large dramatically different gel every 8 months, back before I used the 3-step I was buying stuff every 2 months at a drugstore! And that added up, plus my results weren't as wonderful as they are now using 3-step. I have used 3-Step since I was 13 years old (I'm 23 now) and before I worked for Clinique, I would wander away and buy other products, but I always came back to Clinique! It's so unique because the soap actually loosens all of the dead skin that is on the surface of your face, and following with the clarifying lotion, that sweeps away the dead skin you just loosened up with the soap. Then moisturizing helps equal out the oil/water balance in your skin so your makeup will go on much smoother. It's an exfoliating skincare system, and you have dead skin starting when you are born! So it's very important to exfoliate, that will generate newer skin cells more consistently. And also, if you're looking for comparable make-up as well, you won't find it. Someone may suggest Almay because they advertise that they are hypo-allergenic. But actually, Clinique is the only brand that is Allergy tested, all of their products. Allergy testing goes through plenty more testing than hypo-allergenic testing. Allergy testing tests all of the individual ingredients like hypo-allergenic products are tested, but they are also tested as combined ingredients, because when all of the individual ingredients are combined, they make one big new ingredient. That final products is then tested on 600 people, who apply the product 12 times each, equalling 7,200 applications and if there is ONE reaction, the product is re-formulated or tossed out never to be used again! Pretty cool actually. So, I'm sorry, but I do not have an answer for you! Good luck though!|||Mary Kay Miracle Set is comparable to Clinique but I like Mary Kay better. Clinique makes my face face break out and only last a few weeks. Mary Kay is great for all skin types and tones and I only have to buy new products about twice a year.|||as far as "drug store brands" i am not sure but there is one company out there that a lot of people have not heard of yet called Artistry, they are actually # in beauty on-line as well as rated in the top 5 prestige brands of skin care and cosmetics, rated with clinque, lancome, and estee lauder, they are the only company to have used state -of-the-art equipment to make breakthroughs in product development leaving Artistry as the only company able to give improvement guarantees as well as a 100% money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied!

and not only are their prices better, but they are less expensive as well.

Does clinique skin care line have a shoplifting tag on it?

How do use the three step clinique??

A couple of days ago I bought the acne solutions of clinique, which is the soap bar,and the spot acne treatment.I already had the 1st step liquid soap,2nd moisturizing gel,3rd clarifying lotion. The cosmetologist of clinique told me that I had to use the three steps with the acne soap and spot treatment, but I don't know the order which I should use it,I forgot to ask her that, really stupid of me,but oh well.My guess is that I need to use the 1st step liquid soap, then the acne soap, then the 2nd step clarifying lotion ,then the acne spot treatment, and for last the 3rd step moisturizing gel.But Im not sure,I might burn my face or something LOL.Please I need help,I already went to the clinique site but it only tells me about the steps without the acne products.I would really appreciate it.|||think "cleanse tone moisturise"

(but clinique has clarifying lotion, not toner)

you should NOT cleanse twice, this will be overly drying and your skin will compensate for this, making you very oily. use the acne soap instead of the liquid soap, or use one or the other depending on your skin (the liquid soap if your skin feels dry, the acne soap it your in the middle of a break out etc) i have that soap, and i find it good but a bit drying, so i use a more gente cleanser some of the time.

use the treatment last, not before you moisturise.

so basically...

1. either the soap OR the liquid soap

2. clarifying lotion

3. moisturiser

4. treatment

Does Clinique (all About Eyes) really work?

I have mega puffiness and bags and im 14.

I do get a enough sleep sometimes and when i use the home remedies they don't work.

I want to buy clinique but i think the containers so small. Im just wondering does it really work?

I want to get rid of the puffiness and the bags.|||Works for me (:

I don't think anything will ever work for EVERYBODY.

You have to try it for yourself. Good luck!|||All about eyes is lovely, and it last a long time even though its such a small pot, but its more for fine lines and creases than the sort of puffiness you're describing.

Try Benefit - Ooh La Lift.

The old cliche of cucumber slices or cold teabags work really well on puffiness too!

Clinique dark spot corrector, does it really work?

Clinique products are really great, but does the dark spot corrector really work, especially for acne scars?|||Also try fresh lemon juice! Apply with a cotton ball or just rub the lemon on your dark spots and leave it for at least 15 mins everyday. I skipped a couple of days to prevent drying the skin. I'm on day 7 and ive noticed a difference :)

Good luck!|||Yes that product works wonders! Use it for acne scars and other blemishes on your face.

Did somebody used clinique 3 steps cleaning products? How you feel about these products,is it worth?

Clinique?|||yes yes and yes!!! i use the dramactically different moisturizing lotion, purple toner, and liquid facial soap. i absolutely love it, best money ever spent it makes your face feel sooo good after using it omg|||i used their anti-acne/blemish solutions whatever, they said they worked on normal teenage skin to prevent spots and keep clear skin. well they didnt on me. i dont have acne but if i did they wouldnt work. they dried out my skin so now i only use it once a week if that. try kiehls, similar price but AMAZING, i went there after clinique =D

How do I work for Clinique?

I am a college student and am a people person who is interested in working for clinique, at the counter. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? I understand that I need to apply at the mall but do I write Clinique on the app, or...?|||Go straight to the Clinique counter and ask to speak with the supervisor. Make sure your appearance is classy (I'd wear a skirt, white blouse and blazer.) Your appearance and communication style will be the first and strongest impression they'll get, so make sure your own make-up job is not overdone and looks good.

Also, familarize yourself with their products, and tell the supervisor that you've used Clinique before and love the stuff (say it by name). Then ask what the process to apply for a job.

Good luck!

What other brands in cosmetics are there that don't have fragrance, besides Clinique?

I use Clinique only, but wonder if there are other fragrance-free cosmetics out there to try.|||A lot of the organic/green cosmetics don't have anything added. Try Ecco Bella http://www.eccobella.com/index.php?cPath鈥?/a>

Aubrey Organics and Dr. Hauschka's http://www.drhauschka.com/ are top of the line.

I think Almay is really hypoallergenic too...

P.S. Fragrance free doesn't mean it doesn't smell - it means they haven't added anything extra|||Almay is an inexpensive one. How much do you want to spend? Go to a good cosmetic counter. Most retailer stores wil let you return or exchange products. Make your own?? Do you know what bothers you? Is it fragrance or something else? What kind of a reaction do you get? What have you tried? Do you keep a log of products and the reactions you have had? Ask your doctor.|||Almay|||I use LAminerals cosmetics (bunch of them) and there's no perfumes, talc, bismuth oxychloride, or paraben preservatives.

I have been using Clinique 3 step for a little over a month and its made my skin worse, I now break out a lot in places I don't usually. Does anyone know of any product that might help or works well?

Thank You! :)|||Purpose and Cetaphil both make great face washes that don't cause breakouts. I also really recommend their moisturizers as well. :)

Do I need a reciept to return clinique makeup?

I bought clinique makeup about $250 worth for my wedding in September I hate the products but I think I have waited to long to return them. I bought the products the end of september do you know there return policy?I bought the makeup at Macys!|||Actually Clinique guarantees their products 100%. Depending on the store, without a receipt you should be able to exchange the products even if they are opened. Even though it was in September, you can still exchange them. Macy's allows a six month return policy, but Clinique will often exchange items if you are unhappy beyond six months. As a courtesy, you need to explain why the products did not work and exchange them for other products in the same line.|||yes|||It depends on the store policy. You can always call ahead so you won't waste your time. If the makeup is sealed/closed/shrink wrapped they usually let you exchange it for something else. I'm sure you know they won't give you your money back without a receipt.

Don't go telling them you bought it in September...you really don't need to explain much. They'll either say yes or no.

Like someone else said...it's worth a try.|||Unfortunately, u may have waited 2 long. Clinique only gives refunds up 2 14 days.|||yup|||Call them and ask what the return policy is. If you bought them in September, it might be to long. Call and double check. Or sell on ebay|||usually they will not let you return makeup at all, especially if there is no receipt. They may just give you an in store credit. It's worth a shot, the worst they can say is no.

BTW: how can u hate clinique, it's great!|||I don't think they can take it back if it is opened - health concerns. Without a receipt you have less of a chance that they will take it back, because you can by Clinique anywhere.

Which clinique night moisturizer would you recommend for a 20 year old?

i don't have any wrinkles or anything, but i decided recently that i should start using some skincare products. this is my first time trying out night moisturizers and i was wondering which one would be a better choice. i'm trying to decide between clinique's youth surge night age decelerating moisturizer or the super rescue antioxidant night moisturizer. i like that both of these have some sort of anti-aging properties, but i was wondering which one would be better as a starter. what age group is good for each moisturizer?|||super

rescue

antioxidant.|||I would actually recommend the super rescue antioxidant because that is the night moisturizer for people with younger skin who don't really have a concern with lines and wrinkles. The youth surge is for people who have concern with wrinkles in some areas like around the eyes or around the lips. And as always, be sure to use sunscreen during the daytime!

How well does clinique skin care work?

My skin is dull, lifeless, and i have some acne problems. I am really interesting in the clinique skin care line but I wanted to know how well it worked or if there was something better or just as efficient out there before I invest my money into the clinique skin care line.|||use the mary kay velocity skin care line is great for acne prone and oily skin it works great the cleanser take oil and grime but it leaves skin very soft .

the moisturizer is very good and very lightweight smell nice fresh .

the Clinique face system is good but the only downside is the toner but the face moisturizer is very nice and the cleanser is also very good.|||unfortunately, there is no clear answer for this particular issue. everybody's skin reacts differently to different products.

most higher-end lines can provide you with samples to let you test without forking over All the money; which is always helpful, right?

have you considered going to a dermatologist, as well?

they can often give you the best products for your particular kind of skin, and will work with you for the best treatment plan.

i personally have had good luck with clinique and olay skin treatments.

hope that helps you dear.|||My friend told me its the best, so I "invested" just over 50 bucks in it. Only for it to leave my skin flaky, dry, and way worse then before. I had the three step system, with the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. The toner, im not kidding here, smelled like vodka! It was sooo harsh and strong.

I ended up taking it back after 6 wks and getting my money back, and when the woman at the Clinique desk looked at my skin, she told me it looked like whoever sold me it skin typed me wrong ( they skin type you when you go to purchase it) I laughed bcuz she was the one who skin typed me and sold me it !!! So yeah, I would not recommend it if your skin is sensitive or if your broke!

Why is Clinique so expensive when its not organic and still uses artificial chemicals?

I know Organic names are more expensive because they dont use artificial chemicals.

But Clinique is not organic- and yet it is still very expensive.

Why? I mean this applies to Lancome, Chanel, etc, as well. They're not organic but still very expensive.|||Organic does not mean effective just like how price doesn't either. Organic just means exactly what it means. Made from organic material.|||I'm taking an educated guess here:

Basically, you're querying the mark-up on their cost price, right?

The mark-up is probably estimated by the conservative profit amount need to fund:

*Registry of company name

*Purchasing Domain name of its website(s)

*Software Required to load, and maintain its client data

*Building new counter, and maintaining its existing counters

*Importing, and Exporting of goods

*Utililizing research labs for new and existing products

*Loss to company: damaged in transit, return to vendor (discontued stock), products returned by customers.

*Sponsoring charity campaigns

*Employees salaries.

There's probably A LOT more to add to why the mark-up is higher than other brands, but the bottom line is - the extra mark-up funds toward creating better, and more advanced products, and being the first to create them (before other replica's).|||Because of the name. Really, they have a "reputation" to uphold. Especially Lancome and Chanel, they're both known to be used by celebrities and "rich" people, and so they don't want "poor" people to "ruin" their reputation.|||Clinique doesn't test there products on animals which is really good and also alot of there products help your skin like reduces acne and dark circles that why its so expensive as for the other brands well i really don't know.|||i use clinique and there stuff is like amazing. it cleared my acne, dark spots, made my skin soft. they're make-up remover is incredible! i think its worth it.|||its like estee lauder and lancome which is kinda like designer so thats why its so expensive|||Just because they're not organic doesn't mean the products suck. They are high-end products and work much better than drugstore.

Dont forget to take the bill with you..incase you want to return or get soemthing else,,if you have bought wrong items, they you may not need.|||i would put the turnaround concentrate on first, then only one of the other creams, not a lot, just enough for it to absorb all the way, if you are still greasy, you've used too much.

i want to buy cliniques 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula but will it work on my face that has alot of spots??|||Before you buy this, you will want to spend 1 month using the Clinique 3-step system. This will help clear up blemishes, and prepare your skin for the 7-day scrub cream.

Clinique..?

I have step 1 and step 2...if i just do step 1 and step 2 everyday, and not the 3rd...will that harm my skin..or not do as good as a job?

After I finish step 2..do I dry it, or just leave it? Since I don't have step 3.

What have been your results? I have pimples on my forehead and the random ones on my nose or cheek, but those go away...I have oily skin.|||Many beauty products on the market have harmful chemicals in them; do your favorite beauty products contain any of these things?:

* Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum – Petroleum products that coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatologic issues. Slows cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer. Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?

* Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

* Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

* Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.

* Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived

* Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

* Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin.

Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and you can substitute virgin/extra virgin olive oil or a natural coconut oil to moisturize in the meantime until you find a better, natural alternative!!! Tell ALL your friends and family!!!|||Clinique never worked for me but if it works for you then stick with it. You are only supposed to do step three in areas that are dry. Just be consistent and do it day and night so that your skin acclamates. Also, do a mask once a week. I think its called "Out of Trouble" mask.|||Use all the first day and see how it goes.

Clinique is the best, btw. Within a week I only had one pimple on my face. :) Good luck.

Has anyone tried the Clinique "Stay True" makeup( is a foundation) ? I have Really oily skin, which is a right pain. I was just wondering if it reduces oil/shine? I do have their 3 step skin care for oily skin too.|||Hi i work for Clinique. It is very good for oily skin. Also if you have really oily skin, once you have applied your foundation put some powder on top this will help stop the shine. You may find that you will have to apply it a couple of times a day just to keep it up. If you have an oily t zone make sure you concentrate on that area as it will spread across your face

Hope I helped|||im not totally sure but the greatest thing about clinique is their counter girls know it all go up and get to askin them and puttin it on in all different spots and then see if it gets oily or not|||I'm not sure, but if you have oily skin use a powder foundation, not liquid|||OOOO i have that! HOWEVER, of the skin care products by Clinique that I have used--and I haven't used all of them--I have found drugstore brands that work equally as well for much less money.|||clinique is really good for your skin. and its hypo-allergenic too! i just got an acne spot treatment from them and it works really well. Clears it up in a few days.|||for some people it can be the best product ever, but i also know people that were told by dermatologist's to stop using clinique because it can really damage your skin %26amp; complexion and cause breakouts etc etc.

Maybe before you buy it you should get a little sample tube (that they usually give out free at clinique counters) and see if it's the right product for you.

:)

Clinique????

About the clinique 3 step program

Does anyone have it and use it?

Is it worth buying?

Today i went to clinique and the lady said it is worth buying, is that true? I have combination skin, and i dont get alot of zits.

should i buy it?|||Yes! It does! It works perfectly. If you wanto t spend less money, then get the Clinique acne solutions night treatment gel. I use it and it works fine! I also have proactiv....but it's not so good. It dries out my skin and I get flakes and my skin peels. And i also get more pimples from proactiv. But yea...And wasn't i the one who actually recommended clinique to you? lol. Well clinique is probably the only brand I'll ever use for acne.|||I used to use Clinique years ago, and yes their 3 step program works fine. However, I've found you can get the same (and sometimes even better) quality product for less money. My skin has always been very good, only a few breakouts like stress and such. I've used Mary Kay, Avon, etc. They all work well, but I'm currently using a combo of products. I've replaced the toner with the Olay toner. It's cheaper, available at almost any store and works just as well. I use Dove for the moisturizer. Works great, and very inexpensive. For cleanser, I like the St. Ives product line.

I did notice one difference, when I figured out what worked for me, my pores got smaller, my skin is softer and I haven't broken out as often. Plus, my bank account doesn't suffer and I don't have to brave the mall when I run low.|||i use it and it is good|||I personally dont like Clinique. I prefer Lancome myself. It's all about personal preference and pocket book.

If you're young check out M.A.C. You should also know that there are 3-4 major Make-up companies that make ALL the make-up that you see in the mall. It's like the Auto Makers.

i.e. Lancome Makes L'Oreal and Estee Lauder Makes Clinique %26amp; M.A.C.

Do your researh on the different Make-up Companies and spend a few weekend getting a free make-up consultation from each and get Samples from each and determine from yourself which you like the most. Personally I like M.A.C and Lancome b/c the foundations and the Colors last and stay true'r longer.

Also trust a dermatologist for a cleansing routine. Just remember that you should exfoliate 1-3x a week. Cleanse %26amp; Tone regularly and if your dermatologist suggests it moisturize with a moisturizer that is good for your skin.

Dont fall into the Make-up lady's sale's pitch. Find what you like :-) Good Luck. Hope this helps|||I would buy it. We use/have Clinique at my house, and it works very good.|||since you dont get alot of zits, yes its good. clinique is generally good for people with almost perfect skin and just want to maintain that state. however, there are cheaper alternatives. the only thing that you cant get an alternative for is the dramatically different lotion/gel. toners are generally quite generic, so any one will do. and as for the cleanser itself, it wouldn't hurt to use clinique.

ask for a sample, they always have samples to give out.

i got 2 sets of samples, havent used them yet, but contact me if your wondering how effective they are.|||I have been using it for 2 years and I love it.|||Ive been using it for about 5 years now and i think its great my skin is so clear i told my friend about it and her skin cleared up so much. I have combination skin too so i started with the clearifing lotion #3 (toner) and now they gave me the #2 since ive been using it for i while i say you should get it i love it|||I am a makeup artist and I think you should go with:

It's all about personal preference and pocket book.

watch for things with TALC in it, it can break some people out. Especially people with sensitive skin. But it dont hurt trying if you dont know.

Clinique, Clinique, Clinique!

All of there products are hypo-allergenic

allergy tested and

100% frangrance free and was

created by dermatologists.

Check It Out

Their eye shadows last 8-12 hours, and I have alot of clients have oily skin and they been telling more people about it, it really does work. Its also light, to make you look natural!

There entire facial cleansing system is great! And truly, their acne spot treatment works wonders.....

It's all a little bit expensive.

"you get what you pay for in life, plus it's your skin, no need to skimp"|||yes definately use it!! it works very good|||From an estheticians standpoint I can tell you that you'll end up with damaged skin if you get that three step system. Read the ingredients and you'll see what I mean. The toners have alcohol in them which dehydrates and prematurely ages the skin. If you have acne the alcohol causes a build up of dead skin which makes your clogs worse because now the oil, dirt, and bacteria are adhering to dead skin causing pore blowouts commonly called Cystic Acne.

The moisturizer is another problem. It's basically Mineral Oil. Mineral oil pulls all your skins natural moisture from the lower layers of the skin and sits it on top of the skin making it feel soft at first. When the moisturizer wears off (there is no real moisturizing going on) then all your skins moisture is gone and because moisture on the lower levels cannot replenish as quickly as surface moisture your skin is now in a dehydrated state.

Estheticians can spot a clinique user a mile away. Their skin is always dehydrated, dull, and doesn't heal quickly. They are always the youngest in for anti-aging treatments because Cliniques skin care damages and ages the skin. The lady's at the Clinique counter couldn't even tell you what all the ingredients in the products do so they aren't a reliable source for skincare information. If you are going to invest in a skincare line go to an Esthetician and have them recommend good skincare.

If you have acne you'll like the Trienelle system. If you just need a good skincare for combo skin and want to go with a department store brand then try Clarins, Presciptives, or my personal favorite Philosophy. Philosophy's line was developed as the consumer version of Biomedic which is a cosmeceutical doctors line. It's all good stuff. They have reasonably priced skincare kits without fillers, cloggers, and dehydrators that will make your skin healthy, happy, and glowing. The price is comparable to clinique but in some cases is cheaper.

Clinique?..?

can you buy refills of clinique powder?

cause theres a whole expensive plastic case thing and a thing that the actual powder is in tthat you can take out and it seems like you could just put a refill of the make up in it.

you can do this with other make up brands. does anyone know how to order a "refill" online?|||http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

http://www.clinique.com/templates/produc鈥?/a>

i absolutely sure thats what u mean! hope i hlpd :]|||Do you mean like the the compact/powder? No, I always have to buy a new one every time.|||I doubt it. That would be earth friendly and smart but it's probable not available. Ask the sales person at the clinique section. Hey, write to the CEO of the company and tell them your idea.|||If it is available it would be on their website. Try clinique.com.|||I am a Clinique consultant so I can tell you, unfortunately not yet. I did receive an email asking consultants nationwide how they think Clinique should "go green" so to speak, so maybe in the future refillable compacts could be a possibility. I know that select stores will sell a limited edition Stay Neutral refillable "forever" compact but that comes in a much smaller size.

Clinique...?

i want to buy something from clinique and my neighbor told me that they give you the small sizes for you to try. how much are the small sizes?|||The trial sizes are free. Other brands do this as well. I never buy eyeliner--I just go to the Lancome counter and act interested. Give it a whirl, girl!|||The samples are free. Just go to the counter and ask to try some.|||The complimentary sizes are offered free but usually you have to buy one of the products to get the samples. (Ex: buy regular size soap - you won't go wrong - and they will offer you the toner and the moisturizer)|||You can usually go and ask for samples at your local clinique counter. Their products are 100% fragrance free and allergy tested. The prices are very reasonable compared to the other overpriced brands there may be at the department stores. Also if you didn't know, Clinique is actually a branched out line from Estee Lauder, which is a tad more expensive. I would really suggest Clinique to you because the products work great, nicely priced, and their moisterizing lotion is over the top!! Usually if you buy over a certain amount, maybe over 25 dollars, they will give you a gift bag with a buncha samples in it too!

Has anyone ever had problems with the Clinique acne solutions three step medication?

I recently purchased the Clinique acne solutions products and after a few days of use I resulted in a huge breakout all over the right side of my face. Although it did clear up some trouble spots on my forehead. Is this supposed to happen, or has this ever happened to you?|||Maintain a routine. Most acne treatments take time to work. It usually takes between two and eight weeks before you see any significant improvement, so you are going to have to be patient. Once you've gotten your acne cleared up, it's important to continue with the treatment that's working so it does not return.

If all else fails, contact a doctor. Mild antibiotics that are available only by prescription can help reduce acne. Keep in mind though, that the widespread overuse (taking antibiotics when you really don't need them or for something they don't treat) and misuse (not taking medication for the specified amount of time) of antibiotics has led to the development of multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria. That means that the antibiotics won't work for the things they used to (including your acne).

Keep hair off of your face if at all possible. If you want to keep your bangs, then consider taking showers regularly or keeping your forehead clean with oil-dabbing cloths / clean tissues / etc.

Get good sleep. Stress increases your skin's oiliness, which, combined with sweat and dirt, can clog pores and cause pimples. (Change your pillowcase frequently.)

Acne medications may cause your skin to initially break out worse than before because all FDA-approved acne medications (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and sulfur) are causing your skin to regenerate faster. This brings existing acne pimples already under your skin (but not visible yet) to the surface, which in turn causes a massive but fortunately temporary break out. Give the medications time to work -- about one to two weeks -- and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your skin.

Good Luck...|||Your skin is probably reacting to a new product and this product may not be the right one for your skin.

I tried Clinique awhile ago and found it a bit too harsh and drying for my skin. The lotion especially was drying my skin out. If that is the case with you, you could try to dampen the cotton pad with a bit of water which will lessen the harsh impact on the skin.

With acne it is all trial and error. No matter what people say, at the end of the day your skin is unique and will respond differently to different products.

Taking care of your insides is just as important as the products you put on your skin, so keep looking, be patient, and often you will find that the simplest things give the best results.

What is the same color as Clinique Superbalanced foundation #27?

I have the Clinique foundation #27 but I am almost out and I can't afford to buy anymore right now. I don't know much about makeup. What would be about the same color in L'Oreal, Revlon, or any of the other cheaper foundations? ivory, beige, etc??? Thank you so much!|||hmmmm...not sure but i use dinair airbrush makeup and u can just email in ur pic and they tell ya which of their shades to get to match ur skin tone..so there that options as well..hope i helped...=)

Do Clinique comestic products work well?

I have used them for a while but, I have not used them long enough to know that it will not make me break out. Does it look cakey or un-natural or, the other way around? I would also like you to recommend cosmetic products for Clinique that work swell if it works for you. Any kind of cosmetic form would be fine.|||I %26lt;3 clinique!! Such great makeup that gives you a natural look, not cakey and not plastic lookinng.I tend to get breakouts once in a while, but i have not had a breakout since i started using their face scrub 2 months ago, click here to see the face scrub%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;http://www.clinique.com/cms/product/fran鈥?/a>|||superfit foundation is my favorite liquid foundation. Im also using their self sun tanner products...so far no problems with breakouts and it looks natural.

The makeup at clinique is not anything super special imo. There are no products that I just have to have...just okay lipglosses,bronzers/blushes,and eyeshadows. Not anything bad just regular.

Right now I'm wearing clinique's pink chocolate quad and I was wondering if there is a similar color?

I want a similar color to clinique's pink chocolate quad, but in a drugstore, ie cheaper brand. it doesnt have to be exactly alike, just similar.|||Hm. So a dark brown, a lighter brown, a nude, and a pink?

These colors come together in quads frequently actually. I think Maybelline products work well and aren't too expensive.

At Target or a drugstore I'm sure you could find something you like. Walmart, Target, and most drugstores carry Maybelline. The closest I could find was Maybelline EyeStudio Eyeshadow Quad in Copper Chic. You can find the color here:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Maybelline-Eye鈥?/a>

Or if you want more choice most of those colors are in the Maybelline Expert Wear Eye Shadow 8 Pan in Sunbaked Neutrals plus some more similar colors.

Is Clinique pressed powder colours vanilla and porcelain similiar?

I heard they are both pale, whats the difference?

Clinique pressed powder for dry skin.|||I would just go get color tested at a Clinique counter. They do sound both like they would be light colors. I wear Clinique but have never worn those shades.

Where can I buy clinique products other than online?

I've never seen a clinique store so I'm wondering where to look (sears, sephora, etc.)?

Thanks a lot.|||Better department stores like Macys and Dilliards, Sephora and Ulta also have it.|||Bon*Ton, that's where I usually go. It's where they sell all the makeup and perfumes, and they usually have a makeup girl to help you pick out the right shades or to put it on you to see if you like it.

You can check out the products online first so you know what you'd be interested in buying at sephora.com or Bonton's website: http://www.bonton.com/category/beauty+%2鈥?/a>|||yeah sears dillard's' in the Mall

Do they taste bad or are they really sticky?

I have a $16 credit for Clinique and don't know what do get. I already have the 3-step face stuff. So I wanna get make-up. Is Clinique Blended face powder and brush good?

I'm using Clinique Perfectly Real foundation at the moment. I have kinda oily T-zone. What are the best products from Clinique?

I'm trying to change my makeup around for a nice summer look. I'd rather not use drugstore brands though because i already have quite a few. So I was looking at Clinique. What products would you recommend?

Thank you!|||I like the skincare, hahaha.|||I have worked for Clinique for 3 and a half years, and I am absolutely in love with their products! They are hypoallergenic, and they do more allergy testing than anyone else in the market. Everything is fragrance free and dermatologist developed. The thing is, is they custom fit everything specifically to your skin's needs and your specific coloring, so your best bet is to schedule a complimentary consultation at one of their counters. They are located at most department stores except JCPenney and Sears (except in Canada). Ask for an accredited consultant, as they are the most experienced and will definitely have some expertise to share! Good luck and have fun!|||Their line smoothing concealer is great. I don't use Clinique foundation or powder but I find their concealer very natural and fairly long lasting and makes my complexion look smooth. it is in a tube with a pull out wand applicator you only need small amounts so one 28OZ tube lasts a few months.

They have another concealer which is more like a pencil which you push out then apply - that only lasted about two weeks - so for the price I wouldn't recommend that one.

I use Napoleon camera finish powder compact also - that is a fantastic all round compact - I wear it over my make-up to stop the oily nose look and I carry it in my bag for a quick touch up when on the run - you can use it as foundation I think - but I just use it for over make-up and touch ups.

I also use Elizabeth Arden Intervene foundation - I have tried many and I have found this to be one of the best, it smooths my skin out, it doesn't smell like some foundations, it is not thick or too thin and even after swimming still appears to have some hanging on!

Good luck it is a mine field out there, too many products - too hard to choose the right one!|||Well I do not know alll the much about their make up section, but their facial cleanser stuff is great!

Their facial soap, the clarifying lotion, and the "dramatically different moisterizer" and all of their lotions

Their lip glosses and lipstick work really well and are moisturizing. Also their foundations and concealers are realllyyy good|||theyre musturizer is GREAT! Clinique dramaticly diffrent moustirizer gel/lotion.

and foundation is good too|||I love their prescriptions line. Its hypoallergenic and it works great! They make shadow, foundation, power, ect.

Are you required to have any job-specific qualification if you want to work on a beauty counter like Clinique?

I love playing and experimenting with make up and before getting married I went for a free consultation. I loved being pampered then and would love to that for other people. To work for a make up counter such as clinique, no 7 or benefit do you need to have any qualifications in make up artistry of any kind? The websites don't seem to say one way or the other!|||No, it isn't required or necessary that you need to have a background in makeup or cosmetology . I know this because I am a Clinique Consultant. When hired they send you to classes for a couple of weeks, after you pass it's then on a quartly basis. There's certain tests that you pass to get your "clinique pins", etc. Now it IS beneficial if you know a little about makeup, and skin care. Even if you don't, it isn't necessary. They teach you all that in the classes. I knew nothing walking into it, and I've been there for 10 years now.|||hi there! you do not need to be a licensed cosmetologist to become a beauty consultant in a make up counter. The cosmetics company provide extensive training to their employees to become efficient, if not professional, make up artists. like for example MAC, when they hire someone to become one for their beauty consultants, they provide hands on training for them and provide books or manuals that they can use as well.

it wouldn't hurt to ask a beauty consultant in regards to this. i'm sure they will be more than happy to give you any information about application and all that other fun stuff! :)

good luck!|||well i think u have to be a graduated cosmetoligist, be able to figure what would look good on people

I love the smell of Clinique's Aromatics Elixir, but need an alternative that smells similar?

I absolutely love Clinique's Aromatics Elixir, but it is a family member's signature fragrance. I don't see her all that often, but we all recognize her scent. I am looking for something that smells as similar as possible, with the emphasis on patchouli (am mostly drawn to chypres). I wanted to buy a Clinique product online and needed to see the ingredient listing first because of certain ingredients I need to avoid...On their website it didn't seem to offer ingredient listings. Doesn't the new Clinique perfume smell exactly like one of the Hollister perfumes?

I have both of them, but the clinique one has a little different scent.|||Heh, I'm not sure but to me a lot of perfumes smell the same or very similar.|||i agree to the girl above me....lot of cologne/perfumes smell the same to me...lol|||I don't think there is a new clinique perfume...
