I am thinking about switching to the Clinique acne kit. But someone said it makes your skin/acne worse before it gets better. Is this true?|||Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around.
I don't use acne products. I take a shower, using a wash cloth %26amp; bath %26amp; body wash.

This is especially true with products with retinol. The retinol sheds skin cells and purges your pores (getting everything out of clogged pores) so you are going to see more acne at first. If I remember correctly, Clinique uses Benzoyl Peroxide and that will also purge your pores, so yes it will be worse before it gets better.
