What's the difference between Clinique's Acne system & normal 3-step system?

I've switched from Proactiv to Clinique's Acne system and I think I have MORE acne spots as well as more blackheads. =[


My Q is .. is the normal Clinique system a different formula? Do you think I'll have better luck with the normal system they offer?





PS - My skin is combination oily with acne in t zones. thanks!|||I previously used Clinique's Acne System, then Proactiv. The proactiv did seem to work for awhile but my acne came back. I've had problems with acne pretty much my whole life so I know where you're coming from. Acne.org has given me a lot of information regarding acne and ways to treat it. You can only "treat" acne...NEVER cure it. Basically, for reasons no one completely understands (yet), pores get blocked. Sebum (oil) which normally drains to the surface gets blocked and bacteria begins to grow. Both whiteheads and blackheads start out from this. Diet, exercise, etc may help with acne, but are not main factors. Best thing to do is drink plenty of water, exfoliate, clean with good product, and always use non-clogging sunblock on your face when going out. Consistency is key. I've tried plenty of products but after researching on acne sites and through trial and error I found Spectra Acne. I was hesitant at first, but I already spent so much money on products from walmart etc. I was at my wits end and said "What the heck". It's cheap and definitely works for me. At first I had more acne coming up for like a week


but that's because Clinique is cleaning not just surface but skin deep so all that gunk trapped in your pores is coming out. Trust me after like 2 weeks of using my skin started clearing and people started telling me that my skin looked better.I wasnt sure whether or not to switch but I stuck with it another week and now its great. It really does help don't switch your product right as soon as you get it the same thing will happen. Just stick with it and you'll have beautiful skin :]
